Five things to do this weekend: Small Business Saturday takes over Bloomington-Normal

Friday

Tipsy Turkey Brewery Tour | Desthil Brewery | 3-6 pm

Destihl is holding a special tour of their facilities on Friday. Head to the brewery to get a chance to see everything that goes into Destihl’s rewiring process and more. Attendees will leave with four beer tastings and a free special edition koozie. The event goes on Friday and Saturday.

Saturday

Small Business Saturday | Uptown and Downtown | All day

Head out on Saturday for local deals on small businesses around the Bloomington-Normal area. Shops in both Uptown and Downtown will have special deals for the event. Shops you can check out include Red Racoon Gaming, The Garlic Press, Gigi’s Bottega and more.

Sip and save | Coffee Hound | 9 am – 2 pm

Coffee Hound in Uptown Normal is looking to promote small business Saturday with their sip and save event. The event will start at Coffee Hound with deals on drinks and will umbrella out to the other businesses in Uptown. Local vendors will be posted in the area.

Holiday Cooking fun | Illinois Art Station | 10:30-11:30 am

Head out to the Illinois Art Station for a chance to learn how to make festive holiday sweets and treats. The event will give you tips and tricks on how to make your holiday cookie the best around. You do have to be at least six to participate.

Marc Boon and the Day Drinkers | Castle Theater | 7 pm

Head out to the Castle Theater this weekend to get your fill of live music. After a long hiatus, the band is back on the road for a limited tour. The band mixes jazz, blues and rock fusion music for anyone to enjoy.
