We’re getting another sequel to A Christmas Story. Yes, another. There are already two, 1994’s It Runs in the Family which was later retitled to My Summer Story and 2012′ A Christmas Story 2. This one is called A Christmas Story Story and sees Peter Billingsley return as the beloved Ralphie.
According to early details of the film it “takes place during the 1970s, 30 years after the original story setting. The film follows a now grown-up Ralphie as returns to his former home on Cleveland street after the recent death of his Old Man. He’s hoping to give his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had as a child and reconnect with childhood friends along the way.”
A teaser trailer was released earlier in October and now we have our first images from the film, seen below.
A Christmas Story Story will stream on HBO Max on November 17, 2022.
