Saturday
Hot Club of San Fransisco | Bloomington Center of the Performing Arts | 7:30
Hot Club of San Fransisco takes over the only show of the week at the Bloomington Center of the Performing Arts. The band gives its take on the legendary French band Hot Club de France. Described as gypsy jazz, Hot Club of San Fransisco continues the work of the original band’s tours through France during the 1930s.
Miles Nielson & the Rusted Hearts Present Cheap Trick Review | The Stable | 8 pm
Son of Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielson, Miles is joined by his band The Rusted Hearts for a concert of Cheap Trick covers. Formed in Rockford over 30 years after his father’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted band was founded.
Sunday
Lucero | Castle Theater | 6:30
Since being formed in the late 1990s it has been hard to put a label on Lucero. Originally a Southern Rock band, the group has evolved to include Memphis Style Blues, punk, hard rock and more while keeping sonic undertones. Twelve albums later, the band continues to tour since their first official release in 2001. The band has found their most success with ‘Nights Like These’ recording five million streams on Spotify. Lucero’s stop at the Castle Theater marks the last of five straight days of performing.
