Word to not-so-wise: Be careful of your ‘sources’ before spouting off at a school board meeting.
A parent in Michigan took the podium at a recent school board meeting and made an outlandish claim the district. She she they had installed litter boxes in school bathrooms for children who ‘identify as a cat or dog.’
Truly wish this was a joke but the video is below.
The district had not and is not doing this but for some reason the parent thought this was the case and brought her concern to the public (and streamed) meeting.
The school board issued a statement on Facebook about the bogus claim:
Let me be clear in this communication. There is no truth whatsoever to this false statement/accusation! There have never been litter boxes within MPS schools.
It is such a source of disappointment that I felt the necessity to communicate this message to you.
