Binge-watching has becoming a way of life during the pandemic. A new study out of the UK reveals that 1 in 10 adults ‘stream cheat’ though. That means we’re watching a new episode without our partner. (Tisk tisk)
The worst offenders were Gen z (16-24 years olds). Guys overall are the most likely to commit the act, 22% compared to 13% of women. The top reason for cheating was ‘impatience to watch the next episode.’ The ‘streaming cheaters’ in the survey report to doing so on a weekly basis. They mostly do it against their partners first, family second.
Frustration of being ‘Netflix cheated on’ caused 8% of couples to fight. 4% say it was the finals straw in their relationship and made them break-up!
